We’ve partnered up with some of the car designers of tomorrow to see what we might be driving on UK roads in 20 years' time.
As the UK’s leading car supermarket, we like to keep our finger on the pulse of new innovations and were therefore keen to see what the ‘car of the future’ might look like.
Electric vehicles are a relatively recent invention, and they are increasing in popularity.
AI is also becoming part of our day to day, with our sister brand BigWantsYourCar.com already using it as part of their customer communication journey. But what’s next?
Well, we thought it might be fun to see what the designers and drivers of the future have in mind, so we enlisted the help of six schoolchildren (and our Creative Director Tom!) to see what their ‘dream car’ would look like.
We asked the children to draw us pictures of their fantasy concept car. We then used an AI art tool called Midjourney to help bring the drawings to live and create more realistic visuals.
The results are pretty exciting – see for yourself!
This Tesla-inspired “Model Z” car, drawn by 10-year-old Veer is painted his favourite colour (blue) and is so fast that it has fire coming from out from the exhaust. Tail-gaiters beware!
The “e Limotron” by Tom is truly a car from the future, boasting a glass roof that goes all the way across its curvy design.
Good luck trying to catch up with Olivia's “Popatron 2.0” which is sure to never run out of fuel using its solar powered boost.
The 13-year-old's car also doubles up as the perfect stealth vehicle with its blacked-out windows and the ability to turn invisible. We’ll be putting our names down on the waiting list for this one!
Five-year-old Liam drew a colourful car, clearly marked with a flag showing the creator’s name.
It has a fire engine with hearts that makes the fire come out. It’s also the most affordable option out of all the concept cars, costing just $1,000.
Fearne, aged 10, opted for a bright car design with rockets on the back, so she shouldn’t arrive late anywhere!
Set for its release in the year 6999, 9-year-old Aman’s rocket-powered car flies above the road and is sure to get you to your destination at lightning speed. It is likely to be a very exclusive experience though, coming in at a hefty price tag of ‘billions of trillions’ of pounds.
Never worry about getting stuck in traffic again with 12-year-old Amelia’s “Sky Floater 2” which can simply take off using its large wings and carry you over the queue.
