Used BMW FAQs
Are used BMW models reliable?
In consumer surveys, like the 2024 What Car? Reliability Survey, BMW outperforms its fellow German and premium rivals Audi and Mercedes-Benz. This makes the brand especially attractive for pre-owned vehicles, offering excellent value and reliability.
What's a nearly new BMW?
It's a car that's been used, but not much. Most nearly new BMW models are only a few months old and have relatively few miles on the clock. They'll cost more than older vehicles with higher mileage but should still have that factory-fresh feeling and plenty of life left to give.
What finance options do you offer for a used BMW?
We offer both Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) and Hire Purchase (HP) deals here at Big Motoring World, depending on the used BMW you're buying. Both agreements have pros and cons worth considering, so head over to our car finance page to find out more before choosing. With us, you can get a decision in minutes, flexible deposits and terms to suit your budget and even drive away on the same day as your application in-store. Use our finance calculator today to get a quote without impacting your credit score.
Can I get a used BMW delivered in the UK?
Unfortunately, we don't offer home delivery on any used BMW cars for sale in the UK, or any used cars for that matter. But you can visit one of our dealerships, purchase your favourite model and drive away in as little as two hours. There's no hassle when buying with Big Motoring World.
Can I part-exchange my old car for a second-hand BMW?
Yes, you can. We know getting a fair deal for your old car isn't always easy. That's why we offer good deals when you part-exchange and let you use the value to cover some of the cost of your used or nearly new BMW purchase.Enter your reg and mileage on our part-exchange page to find out how much you can put towards your next vehicle. That price will be guaranteed for 7 days, so you have time to find your ideal BMW for sale. We won't charge any transaction fees either.
Can I test drive a BMW for sale before buying?
Yes, all our vehicles are ready for you to come and test drive, including our selection of used BMW models. You'll need to bring your full driving licence.
What is M Sport?
BMW M Sport is the trim/body kit that gives you the aesthetics of an M performance car but none of the mechanical upgrades. You gain a much sportier look thanks to the upgraded seats, larger wheels, meaner-looking grille and much more but retain the standard performance features. A quick history of the BMW M3
About Autotrader price labels
How to use our price labels
Autotrader have compared the asking price for this car with their Autotrader valuation, and given it a label. This tells you how the price of this car compares to the market price of other cars with similar qualities, including make, model, age and mileage. Our price labels are here to help you make an informed decision when buying your next car.
What does Lower price mean?
A 'lower price' label means this car is priced much lower than most other cars of a similar type in the UK right now. This could be due to a number of factors, and you can always ask the seller for more information about pricing if you're not sure.
Price labels we use
Yes! You might see any of these labels on our car adverts:
Lower price
Priced much lower than other similar cars on the market
Great price
Slightly cheaper than most other similar cars on the market
Good price
Priced very closely to other similar cars on the market
Fair price
Only slightly more expensive than most other similar cars on the market
Higher price
More expensive than most other similar cars on the market, but there may be some additional benefits
How do Autotrader work it out?
Autotrader use data from millions of vehicles to work out a car's current market price. This data includes things like:
  • Make
  • Model
  • Age
  • Fuel type
  • Optional extras and features
There are other things that are not included in how Autotrader work out their price labels, but these might affect the price:
  • The car's condition
  • The car's colour
  • Supply and demand in the local area
  • Special modifications (like a spoiler or body kit)
  • Extra services (like warranties and finance deals)
  • The number of owners
  • The car's service history
Spotted a car with no price label?
Not every car will have a price label, but there are lots of reasons why this might be. These reasons include if the car is:
  • Autotrader does not have enough similar vehicles listed to make a reliable comparison
  • The vehicle was recently added to our stock and the label is still being calculated
  • Autotrader has not yet provided updated metrics for that vehicle
  • Price labels are supplied by Autotrader and are not available for every car we sell
