MotorTrader - New Dealership of the Year 2020

Fighting off some tough competition, our Blue Bell Hill dealership proudly won the prestigious New Dealership of the Year award at the 2020 MotorTrader awards ceremony. Marketing Director, Darren Miller commented “our colleagues have worked relentlessly to develop our Blue Bell Hill dealership, and this award is a testament to their commitment and dedication. It’s an amazing achievement for all.”

MotorTrader - Used Dealer Group of the Year 2020

2020 was a year like no other. In March, we were asked by the Government to stay at home and shut up shop as the world tried to contain the spread of the new Coronavirus that was plaguing the country. In a matter of days, Big Motoring World established a brand new click and collect service and operated home deliveries, which helped us achieve MotorTrader’s Used Dealer Group of the Year 2020.

CarDealer - Used Car Supermarket of the Year 2020

Over the years, the used car supermarkets have perfected the art of selling cars with slick preparation facilities, great access to stock and smooth sales processes. It was therefore a real achievement for us to be awarded Used Car Supermarket of the Year by CarDealer in 2020. Judges commented that, despite our scale, their mystery shoppers were impressed by our customer-centric approach and attention to each guest that walked through the door.

We take pride in the careful selection of stock we bring on to our forecourts for our customers to buy. Combined with the competitive prices we offer and the high standards of vehicle preparation we swear by, in 2019 we were recognised by CarDealer as a car supermarket that sells at record speeds, earning us the CarDealer Days to Sell 2019 award.

Our CEO, Peter Waddell, is someone that’s raised through the ranks in the automotive world, working all types of jobs that some may turn their nose at. In 2019, Peter won the highly-regarded Used Car Dealer Principal of the Year award, a testament to the grit and determination shown by Peter over the years.

It was a truly humbling experience to win the award for ‘Car Supermarket of the Year’ at the prestigious CarDealer Used Car Awards. This award is probably our most satisfying to date. Everyone at Big Motoring World works tirelessly to ensure that our offering and service is the best that it can possibly be.

MotorTrader - Dealer Website of the Year 2018

It was the midst of the World Cup summer of 2018 that the cream of the motor trade descended on London for the annual MotorTrader awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel. As England's semi-final against Croatia was streamed live to guests, it was disappointing to see England crash out so close to a World Cup final. However, where England faltered, Big Motoring World triumphed as we won an award for our website. Alongside this, we also had the pleasure of receiving highly commended status in the ‘Used Car Retailer of the Year’ category.

The Used Car Awards were to prove to be our second successful awards night on the bounce. Just a matter of weeks after the Wirehive100 awards, we found ourselves, finalists, once again at the highly prestigious Used Car Awards. Pitted up against some of the very best in the industry, we were delighted to be recognised for all of our hard work with our website as we were crowned winners in the Used Car Website of the Year category.

In 2017, we were extremely excited to announce that together with our web developers, we’d claimed the Wirehive 100 Rebrand of the Year award for our brand new website. Our website, at the time, truly put customers at the forefront, giving them more information than they’d had before so they could make an informed decision.
